They’re just regular Ni-MH rechargeable cells, which are a standard AA size and a nominal 1.2 volts. There is nothing special about the AA batteries used in this keyboard. But people are right that you may have bad situation if you plug in the USB charging cable while non-rechargeable batteries are installed. Virtually any AA battery should make the keyboard work. I saw some questions about brands and which capacities. Just want to clarify some things about the batteries.
